Technician, School of Pharmacy and Bioengineering, Keele University

I took up my post here at Keele after taking my PhD as a mature student. My role here is to prepare and demonstrate second year ceutics laboratory classes. I also train fourth year students to use instruments and equipment for their projects.

Prior to this I was employed in pharmaceutics and personal care formulation. I performed a number of different functions in dyes, pigments and fine chemicals manufacture, such as research, process optimisation and analysis. It was very satisfying see my work incorporated into the concrete and steel of new plants or a new seeing a new product go to market.
