Associate Professor, Philosophy and Neuroscience, Georgia State University

I'm an empirically-oriented philosopher of mind at Georgia State University. I work on topics that have to do with belief and imagination, such as self-deception, pretend play, religious credence, mental imagery, semi-pretense, cognitive attitudes generally, and the connection between imagining and emotion. I like my work to be informed by related work in fields like anthropology, cognitive neuroscience, psychology, sociology, and history.
