Director Leverhulme Research Centre for Forensic Science, University of Dundee

Niamh holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Mathematics from the Dublin Institute of Technology and Trinity College Dublin and received her doctorate in bio inorganic chemistry from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Pyschology from the Open University.

Niamh has published over 120 peer reviewed research papers in the forensic sciences and delivered many conference presentations at National and International conferences.

She is the Director of the Leverhulme Research Centre for Forensic Science, a £10 million 10 year centre funded by the Leverhulme Trust which works across the entire forensic science ecosystem.

Niamh undertakes independent casework in fire scene investigation, terrorist events and the investigation of clandestine drugs.
