Nicholas Procter

Professor Nicholas Procter is Chair: Mental Health Nursing and Leader of the Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Research Group, UniSA Clinical and Health Sciences. Professor Procter leads a national program of policy relevant and consumer focussed mental health research and community engagement. The strategic purpose of his work is to demonstrate through research and practical example, how much consumers, clinicians, policy makers and academic faculty can achieve working together. Strong cross-sector partnerships, community engagement and enterprise are at the heart of performance outcomes locally, nationally and internationally. In addition to qualifications in mental health nursing, adult education, business administration and social science, Professor Procter has completed specialist training in violence triage with the International Association for Forensic Mental Health and as a Psychological Autopsy Investigator with the American Association of Suicidology.
