Nick Foard

Nick is course leader for the BA Sociology and Politics, and a senior lecturer in Sociology. He teaches sociological aspects of technologies and the internet, contemporary sociological theory, and research methods.

Nick has recently worked with Professor Matt Henn on the ESRC funded project: 'Young people and politics in Britain: How do young people participate in politics and what can be done to strengthen their political connection?':

Nick recently presented a paper based on this research and focusing on online political engagement of young people at the Nordic Youth Research Symposium, and is currently investigating further research opportunities within the field of online identity and culture.
