Dr. Kelley is a research associate for the BioWatch program, where he maintains overviews of potential agents of bioterrorism.

Dr. Kelley served as the assistant project director on the CIDRAP Comprehensive Influenza Vaccine Initiative. He is a member of the University of Minnesota's Medical Reserve Corp and is actively involved in local pandemic planning and response activities.

Dr. Kelley has a bachelor's degree in biology from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, and master's and doctoral degrees in environmental health from the University of Minnesota.
