Research Fellow in exercise physiology, Harbor-UCLA Medical Center

Nick is an accredited physiologist with the British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES), and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA). He earned a Masters by research in Exercise Physiology at the University of Hertfordshire (2008), and a PhD in Human Applied Physiology at Brunel University London (2014).

Nick has worked with Olympic performance programs in London and the South East of the UK, and currently resides as a Research Fellow in exercise physiology/respiratory medicine, at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. Nick is a writer, science communicator, and a regular contributor to mainstream media publications. In his spare time he trains for ultra-endurance sport, and has contested Ironman triathlon, the Marathon Des Sables (Sahara Desert), and 100 mile ultra-marathon.
