Clinical Lecturer, King's College London

I am a consultant addiction psychiatrist working for the South London and Madsley NHS foundation trust. I am also a clinical lecturer at King's College London.

I have my MBChB from the University of Cape Town. After receiving the Rhodes Scholarship, I completed an MSc in Social Policy and an MSc in Neuroscience at the University of Oxford. My PhD was in Addiction Psychiatry which I completed at Imperial College London.

I was a National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) academic clinical fellow at Bristol University, then was awarded the Wellcome Trust GSK translational training fellowship at Imperial College, before receiving higher psychiatric training in at the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. I also attended an NIHR academic clinical lectureship at King's College.

I now work as an addiction psychiatrist in an alcohol care team in King's College Hospital which is a SLAm service as well as being a part-time clinical lecturer at King's College London. My current research interest include understanding the impact of substance addiction on mental health conditions.
