Postdoctoral fellow, Rhodes University

I am postdoctoral fellow at the Institute of Social and Economic Research at Rhodes University, and a research fellow at the Centre for International Teacher Education at Cape Peninsula University of Technology. My PhD focused on how pan-African knowledge commons emerge and endure, and my postdoctoral work aims to deepen this line of investigation. I am also currently advising the Department of Basic Education on conducting a nationally representative survey of teachers, the first of its kind in South Africa. Prior to this, I coordinated the first representative survey of teachers in the Western Cape regarding their views of their work.
