Senior lecturer, UNSW

Noam Peleg is a Senior Lecturer at University of New South Wales, Faculty of Law, and a visiting Professor at Columbia Law School (January-June 2020). Noam's work focuses on international children’s rights law and its intersections with childhood studies, family law, and socio legal studies. He has published in leading journals, and his book ‘The Child’s Right to Development’ was published by Cambridge University Press in 2019. Together with the Diplomacy Training Programme and Youth Law Centre at UNSW Law, Noam established the “Monitoring Children’s Rights Capacity Building Programme’. Noam is the book reviews editor and member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Children’s Rights. Before moving to academia, he practiced law in a number of human rights NGO’s, specializing in representing children in courts.
