Nora Albu graduated in Political Theory from the London School of Economics and Business Sciences as well as in Economic Sciences with Eastern European focus from the Freie Universität Berlin. Currently, she is working as a research associate at WifOR, an empirical economic research institute in Berlin while also being a post-graduate at the Technische Universität Berlin. The key aspects of her scientific work lie in the fields of value-added analysis and quantification of economic sustainability and development. In her dissertation she examines the impact of the institutional framework for economic sustainability and development. Prior to working for WifOR, Nora did a six month internship at the SWP, the German Institute for International and Security Affairs where she wrote a discussion-paper on R&D spending in the EU as part of the 2020 growth strategy.
