Lecturer in Philosophy, University of Galway

Nora Ward is a lecturer in the philosophy department at the University of Galway, specializing in environmental ethics. She received her BA and MA from the University of Galway and her Ph.D. from the University of North Texas.

Her research is focused on the normative dimensions of environmental modalities and practices. Her current project considers the role of ecological attentiveness in addressing ethical concerns relating to animal welfare and biodiversity conservation. Past work has focused on deep ecology, ecofeminism, the environmental thought of John Moriarty, and ecomodernism.
