Norman's research focus is to find out what motivates individuals to use technology and why some people adopt advanced features more readily than others. A prior study investigated how primary care physicians are using Electronic Medical Records. His current research is focussed on the adoption of smartphone apps for face-to-face transactions. His latest study evaluated hotel guests attitudes towards using their mobile phone as a room key. He is currently investigating consumers’ attitude towards using a mobile wallet at the point-of-sale.
