Olatunde Julius Otusanya

Professor of Taxation, University of Lagos

Olatunde Julius Otusanya, PhD is a Professor of Taxation at the University of Lagos, Nigeria. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA), the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (FCTI) and Member of Nigerian Institute of Management, Chartered (MNIM). He is a member of the Technical, Research & Public Policy Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), the Indirect Tax Faculty, of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN).

He currently serves as Tax Appeal Commissioner at the Tax Appeal Tribunal – South-South Zone, Nigeria. His research focuses on critical accounting areas of taxation and tax management issues, financial crime, accountability, role of professionals, corporate social responsibility, corporate governance and ethics. He has published several articles and Monographs.

His research has produced high quality outputs widely published in reputable international journals, including Critical Perspectives on Accounting, Accounting Forum, Accounting, Auditing and Accountability Journal, Journal of Financial Crime, Journal of Money Laundering Control, Journal of Financial Reporting and Accounting, among others. He has received several research grants and awards.
