PhD Candidate in International Relations, Lancaster University

Oliver Fitton is a PhD candidate in International Relations at the Department of Politics, Philosophy and Religion, Lancaster University. His thesis focuses on cyber actors in conflict and how their actions impact external actors particularly the United Kingdom.

In 2011 Fitton was awarded a Bachelor’s degree in Politics with International Relations from Lancaster University. After a year in industry Fitton began a Master’s degree in International Relations specializing in cyber security and international conflict. His Master’s dissertation focused on the Syrian Electronic Army
