I am a Virologist with the knowledge and motivation required to address critical questions relating to the diagnosis, pathogenesis, and molecular epidemiology of viruses. My laboratory proficiencies include antigen and antibody evaluation, virus isolation and characterization, DNA and RNA detection and quantification, genomic sequencing, and phylogenetic analysis. My contributions to science are evident in HIV and AIDS, hepatitis viruses, enteroviruses, and SARS-CoV-2 studies.
