Lecturer in Biochemistry, University of East London

I recently joined the School of Health, Sport and Bioscience as a Lecturer in Biochemistry. I graduated with a B.Sc (Hons) Biochemistry (1998) from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria and an M. Tech Biochemistry (2006) from the Federal University of Technology, Yola, Nigeria before being awarded a Vice Chancellor’s Research Scholarship leading to a PhD Biomedical Sciences degree (2009 - 2012) by the University of Ulster, Coleraine. I began my academic career in 1999 as a Lecturer in Integrated Sciences at the Federal College of Education, Yola, Nigeria and was appointed as a Lecturer in Biotechnology by the Federal University of Technology, Yola, Nigeria in 2006. Following a successful completion of my PhD Biomedical Sciences at the University of Ulster, I joined the Diabetes Research Group at the University as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist (2013- 2015).
