Senior Lecturer in Chinese Politics and International Relations, University of Kent

Pak K Lee joined the University of Kent in January 2007. Before moving to the UK, he had taught at the University of Macau and the Open University of Hong Kong for more than 10 years. At Kent, he is the Director of Studies of BA in Politics and International Relations with a year in the Asia-Pacific.

He has two groups of research interests. First, it is about post-World War II genocides in Asia and humanitarian intervention (or lack of thereof). The second is China's regional/international order-building projects, with special emphasis on the Belt and Road Initiative and the South China Sea territorial disputes.
