Professor, Director of Ph.D. Program in Biogeoscience, Director of Boston University URBAN Program, Co-Director Boston University Stable Isotope Laboratory, Boston University

I am a biogeochemist who studies how climate change and air pollution affect plants, soils, water, and the atmosphere. My lab at Boston University takes an experimental approach, evaluating how (1) warmer temperatures and a smaller snowpack impact forest ecosystems, (2) urbanization affects the functioning of trees and soils, and (3) air pollution affects forest ecosystems and their ability to clean our air and water. I am very interesting in the integration of science with policy.
