Patricia Friedrich

Associate Dean and Professor of English, Arizona State University

Patricia Friedrich is a Professor/Associate Dean at Arizona State University. She is the author of seven non-fiction books including award-winning Palgrave-MacMillan’s The Literary and Linguistic Construction of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder and 2019's Applied Linguistics in the Real World. Her historical romance A Love Made to Measure was published in 2018 (The Wild Rose Press as Eliza Emmett) and reached #1 in Victorian Romance on Amazon in 2019. She has published many articles/book chapters in such periodicals as  Harvard Business Review and  World Englishes. Her fiction has appeared in Gray Sparrow, Eclectic Flash, Blue Guitar, Birkensnake, and  The Linnet’s Wings. She is a contributing editor for  Write On!, the magazine of the Women Fiction Writers’ Association. Her novel manuscript The Art of Always won first prize at the Desert Dreams (RWA) regional competition.
