Paul A Taylor

My research interests relate to critical theories of mass media culture. I draw upon past and present critical thinkers to provide insights into today's mediascape – in particular, the works of Theodor Adorno, Siegfried Kracauer, Jean Baudrillard, Slavoj Zizek and Martin Heidegger.

Recent books include "Zizek and the Media" and "Heidegger and the Media" - both by Polity Press.

My undergraduate teaching includes: Media philosophy: technological dasein, Cinematic Themes, Film Theory and aesthetics.

I am the General Editor of the International Journal of Zizek Studies.
