Paul Byron researches friendship, sex, digital intimacies, and informal knowledge networks. His work considers everyday negotiations of sexual safeties, and informal ways of knowing and practicing diverse genders and sexualities. Recent projects include the RAD Australia directory (with Twenty10), and several studies of young people’s digital media cultures (UNSW). He lectures in sociology at Macquarie University.
