Paul Hare

Professor of Economics at Heriot-Watt University since 1985, now officially retired and working as an international consultant, mostly in the Caribbean, but also recently in Tajikistan, Kuwait and North Korea. Worked on transition economies since 1990, with many research grants, consultancy contracts, and publications. Author of Vodka and Pickled Cabbage (2012); co-editor of, and contributor to Handbook of the Economics and Political Economy of Transition (2013).
