Pedro Jeferson Miranda

Doctoral Researcher, Physics, Universidade Estadual de Ponta Grossa (UEPG)

I’m a Bachelor in Biology, working mainly with entomology and ecology. In 2011, I began studying Physics to acquire the title of Master of Science – Physics. In my master degree dissertation, I worked with immunological and social networks. In 2018, I have just defended my PhD thesis in Physics, Biology, and Mathematics: On emergence and on the Intrinsic Proportionality Law.

Now I’m interested in working especially with the philosophy of science. I’m convinced that the usual Cartesian method is not capable of describing some complex phenomena, as life itself. Also, I’m the leader of a Philosophical community in Brazil: Confraria Tomista, or Tomist Brotherhood in English.
