Pere Colet

I got a Physics degree at Univ. Barcelona in 1987 and a PhD in Physics at Univ. Illes Balears in 1991. I was a Fulbright postdoctoral fellow at Georgia Tech. I joined CSIC in 1995and since 2007 I'm a Research Professor. I have co-authored 115 articles in Q1 JCR journals with 5432 citations and h-index 35 according to WoS. I have worked on fluctuations in optical systems, synchronization of nonlinear oscillators, encoded communications based on chaotic lasers, coherence in laser arrays, pattern formation, quantum fluctuations, noise-sustained structures, front dynamics, localized structures, microwaves generation with opto-electronic oscillators, coupled systems with multiple delays, systems with state-dependent delay time and, more recently within the context of socio-technical systems, the study of human mobility using geolocated data and use of dynamic demand control to improve power grid stability.
