Peter Elias currently works at the Department of Geography and Planning, University of Lagos. He is a development geographer with specialisation in regional planning and development. He is also a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Geography, University of Lagos, Nigeria. He does research in Sustainable Urbanisation, Environment and Development. His current research projects include (i) Integrated Deprived Areas Mapping System (IDEAMAPS) Network with case studies in Accra, Lagos and Nairobi (ii) A Methodological Framework for Urban Data Governance in Africa - Accra, Lagos, Luanda and Maputo (iii) 'Standardising City-Level Data-Gathering towards Achieving SDG 11 in Africa (SCiLeD)' with focus on Lagos and Accra in the Leading Integrated Research in Africa (LIRA 2030). (iv) City Development and Mobility Services Mapping for World Resources Institute, Washington, DC.(v) Enabling the Science-Policy Interface for Knowledge transfer (ESPIK) between scientific community and policy makers for achieving SDG 11 in Ghana (vi). Green Infrastructure for health promotion within informal neighbourhoods in Lagos and Akure, Nigeria. (vii) MECCA project in Lagos
