I primarily conduct research into the nature of free will beliefs and their potential consequences for life outcomes. A second avenue of research involves exploring the physical and cognitive processing underpinning people’s sense of agency for their volitional actions.

Testing online and in the lab, I harness diverse methods, from qualitative approaches, such as thematic analysis and the categorising and quantifying of participants’ open-ended responses, to TMS brain stimulation, heart rate monitoring, eye tracking and skin conductivity.
