Peter Malinowski

Reader in Cognitive Neuroscience, Liverpool John Moores University

Peter Malinowski is psychologist and cognitive neuroscientist, specialised in the scientific understanding of meditation. He is a Reader in Cognitive Neuroscience at Liverpool John Moores University, where he directs the Meditation Research Lab. He is Programme Leader for the MSc Positive Psychology & Wellbeing, which particularly focuses on meditation and mindfulness as backbone for a positive, meaningful and flourishing life.
His rich knowledge about meditation is based on about 30 years of Buddhist meditation practice, his voluntary activity as lay Buddhist teacher and the opportunity to learn from some of the best meditation teachers of current times.
