Peter Marcus Bach

Peter Marcus Bach is a senior research scientist at the Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences (OST) and Hononrary Adjunct Research Fellow at Monash University, Australia. He obtained his PhD in 2014 in integrated modelling and blue-green infrastructure at Monash University, Australia before moving to Switzerland in 2017 where he has since been expanding his interdisciplinary research and modelling portfolio. Peter’s research strives to develop integrated, quantitative approaches to support future planning and adaptation of cities to climate change, in particular the adoption of urban nature-based solutions.

He is also active in the International Water Association (IWA) Specialist Group on Modelling and Integrated Assessment, Editor of the scientific journal Water Research X and hosts his own podcast known as "The Grand Challengers Podcast" where he interviews inspiring individiuals across science, engineering, technology and design, who are tackling the grand challenges that our world is facing in their own unique ways.
