Since Columbia I have taught and/or created Great Books and Humanities courses. Trained as an historian, my main focus is political culture in the most broad sense. I write on intellectuals from a class perspective.
Living in New Zealand, I find myself commenting on Trump and current American politics in a broader (both US historical and Western-ish) sense. From a distance, I try to be more perspectival than left or right
