Dr Peter Streker is a community psychologist who specialises in family violence - primarily working with male perpetrators of violence. He completed his PhD on emotional and psychological abuse.
Peter has also worked with individuals and communities on topics such as drugs and alcohol, street sex work, racism, complex trauma, social cohesion, homelessness, community leadership, gender equality and violence prevention.
He is currently Director of Community Stars and is experimenting with ways that new technologies such as virtual reality can be used to prevent violence. Peter also sits on the ethics committees of the Victorian Foundation for Survivors of Torture and Good Shepherd Australia and New Zealand.
