Philip Haynes is Professor of Public Policy at the University of Brighton. His areas of research, teaching and expertise include: the policy process and its management, the organisation of public services, the application of complexity theory to applied social science and applying quantitative methods to exploring social issues and policy challenges. He has published numerous books and articles including the recent second edition (2015) of Managing Complexity in the Public Services, London: Routledge
