I am a psychologist with a background in research in mental health, neuropsychology and critical psychology. My undergraduate degree was at Middlesex University and from there I went to the University of Essex to complete an MSc in Cognitive Neuropsychology. This led on to an appointment as a Research Associate in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Hull, where I completed my Doctorate. I began lecturing in Abnormal Psychology whilst at Hull, and then moved to the University of Gloucestershire to take on the role as Senior Lecturer in Psychology. I am now in post as Senior Lecturer in Psychology at the University of South Wales. Outside of academia, I have a wide experience of working in the mental health field, as well as with children with learning difficulties and adults with cognitive impairment.
