Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Centre for Urban Research, RMIT University

Priya Kunjan is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at RMIT University's Centre for Urban Research, currently researching experiences of housing precarity on stolen Indigenous land.

Priya's PhD research engaged with contested claims to sovereignty and the intelligibility of political claims made by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples outside of Australian electoral politics. Their analysis focused on representations of January 26th (Australia’s national day) in mainstream and independent media, critiquing liberal inclusion and colonial recognition.
