Rachael Elward

(She/Her)
Senior Lecturer, Neuroscience and Neuropsychology, London South Bank University

I am a cognitive neuroscientist / neuropsychologist investigating the brain systems supporting memory. I sometimes work with children at Great Ormond Street Hospital who sustained brain injury and show memory impairments. I also work with typically developing adults and children to understand the ways in which the brain supports memory across the lifespan.
I have previously worked at a research center for cognitive aging where we studied age-related memory impairments.
My PhD work was conducted in Cardiff University where I investigated the links between memory retrieval and cognitive control.
