I am a PhD student and one of 80 women selected globally for the 2018 Homeward Bound women in science leadership initiative. My research interest is in Alzheimer's disease, neurodegeneration and stem cell technology. My research focuses on developing induced pluripotent stem cell models of neurodegenerative diseases to investigate the molecular mechanisms behind pathogenic changes. Key areas of interest include investigating the relationship between nitrosative stress and calcium dysfunction, as well as changes to the lipidome of neurons.
In addition to my love of science and research, I have a background in fine arts, experience with teaching and public speaking. I also love to travel!
