I recently completed a PhD with the University of Manchester which aimed to challenge dominant discourses of BSA Muslim women through an intersectional analysis of everyday spaces including home, work and public spaces.
I have published on the need to include religion and space within intersectionality in order to contextualise veiled BSA Muslim women’s experiences.
My research interests include intersectionality, Islamophobia, the Self as Other, as well as BSA Muslim women’s negotiations of everyday spaces.
