Historian-in-Residence Sunshine Coast (2022), Noosa (2020); Visiting Fellow at Griffith University (2017, 2018); Governor's Gold Award (National Trust of Queensland 2011); Helen Taylor Award for Local History (2010). Published 13 books, 11 book chapters, 22 peer-reviewed academic articles, 5 book reviews, 70 heritage reports, 4 commemorative booklets, 11 online essays.
