Rebecca Tapscott

Lecturer, University of York

Rebecca Tapscott is a lecturer in politics at the University of York. She also holds visiting positions at the Firoz Lalji Centre for Africa at the London School of Economics and the University of Edinburgh's politics department. She researchers political violence, security and authoritarianism; gender; and research ethics. She is the author of "Arbitrary States: Modern authoritarianism and social control in Museveni's Uganda" (Oxford University Press 2021).
