Rebecca Yeo worked on issues of disability in an international development context, before focussing more specifically on the UK. She began working with disabled asylum seekers in 2012, becoming very aware of how little consideration there was of disability in the asylum sector and how rarely asylum seekers are involved in the disability movement.

Her doctoral research explores the causes, impact and possible alternatives to the relative entitlement associated with disability and forced migration in the UK.
