Renu Singh

Renu Singh is a Scholar with the Global Health Policy and Politics Initiative at the O’Neill Institute, focusing on the HIV Policy Lab and COVID-19 Law Lab. As a political scientist and microbiologist by training, she aims to bridge the worlds of science and policy through her research on comparative social policy, global health security and governance, and the political economy of health.

Currently, Singh is a Research Assistant Professor within the Division of Public Policy and a Junior Fellow of the Jockey Club Institute for Advanced Study at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Before joining the O’Neill Institute, Singh was a Fulbright fellow in Berlin and a DAAD scholar for the Helmholtz Zentrum and the Max Planck Institute for Social Law and Social Policy in Munich. She has also worked for the Environmental Investment Organization and LSE Enterprise in London, and for Senator Edward M. Kennedy in Washington, D.C.

Singh received her Ph.D. and M.A. in political science from the Department of Government at Georgetown University. She also has an M.S. in public policy and administration from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a B.S. in microbiology and B.A. in political science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
