My research interest is to promote livestock health through the development and promotion of a sustainable animal agriculture system that implements animal health and production practices that support the judicious use of resources (including antimicrobial drugs), and are efficient, environmentally sound, and economically feasible. My research focus is to have a deeper understanding of the emergence, persistence and transmission of antimicrobial resistant and zoonotic bacteria in livestock with the aim of develop interventions to reduce and/or prevent the spread of disease and drug resistance.
