Principal Lecturer in Sport Finance, Sheffield Hallam University

Rob joined the teaching team at Sheffield Hallam University in 2002. His main research interests are in the finance, economics and governance of professional team sports and his PhD focuses on performance issues in team sports. The author or co-author of four books, including two titles that specifically examine financial reporting and management accounting in sport, he has also presented at major European Sport Management conferences in recent years and has numerous publications in the sport management field. Rob is an active researcher with the Sport Industry Research Centre (SIRC) and is a regular commentator for media agencies on the finances of sport, and football in particular, appearing on television with the BBC, Al Jazeera and ESPN, on national radio broadcasts such as Radio 5live and Talk Sport and in print with the Wall Street Journal, Daily Telegraph and FT.
