Associate Investigator, OzGrav (ARC Centre of Excellence for Gravitational Wave Discovery), Research Fellow in Physics, Australian National University

Robert Ward is a physicist and astrophysicist who uses lasers to study black holes with the Laser Interferometer Gravitational Wave Observatory (LIGO).

Robert works on technology development for gravitational wave detection, including manipulating the “quantum vacuum”, finding ways to mitigate gravitational noise on Earth, and precision measurement in satellite technology
