Dr Roberta Garrett is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Arts and Digital Industries at the University of East London. She is author of Post-Modern Chick-Flicks: The Return of the Woman's Film (2008) co-editor of We Need to Talk About Family: Essays in Neoliberalism, The Family and Popular Culture (2016) and the author of numerous articles on contemporary film and literature. She is currently writing a book on representations of the family in popular novels and memoirs.
