Rodney Sinclair is an Australian Dermatologist and Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Melbourne. He is the Director and founder of Sinclair Dermatology, Australia's premier centre for dermatology research and clinical trials.
Sinclair Dermatology conducts clinical research in skin cancer, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, urticaria, pemphigus, alopecia, and laser therapy. sunclair Dermatology also undertakes laboratory based stem cell research, genetic research (gene discovery), immunology and fundamental skin biology research. Professor Sinclair supervises PhD students enrolled with the University of Melbourne
Prof Sinclair is a Founding Member and Past President of the Australasian Society for Dermatology Research and the Australasian Hair and Wool Research Society, Vice-President of the International Society of Dermatology and the International Academy of Cosmetic Dermatology and Honorary life member of the of the American Dermatology Association and the British Association of Dermatology.
He is formally Director of Dermatology at St Vincent's Hospital, Director of Dermatology at the Epworth Hospital, Chairman of the Scientific Research Committee of the Australasian College of Dermatologists and a Past President of the Skin and Cancer Foundation.
With over 500 research publication including 7 textbooks, Prof Sinclair is one of Australia's top ranked clinical and research dermatologists.
