Ronald Jan Corbee

Assistant Professor of Veterinary Medicine, Utrecht University

Ronald Corbee is an employee of the University Clinic for Companion Animals since 2008. After becoming a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary and Comparative Nutrition in Zaragoza on September 13th 2011, he works as specialist in Clinical Nutrition of Companion Animals.

He teaches Clinical Nutrition, runs the pet obesity clinic and provides nutritional advice. For clinicians and practitioners he has a nutrition consultation service for nutritional advice, ration calculation, and parenteral nutrition.

Corbee received his DVM degree from Utrecht University in December 2003. After several temporary positions, he worked for two years as a veterinarian for companion animals. In December 2006, he opened his private practice Dierenartsenpraktijk Schonauwen in Houten, which he sold in 2016. In September 2008 he started his residency in Veterinary Nutrition (Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary and Comparative Nutrition). He passed the board certifying exam in Zaragoza in September 2011. He successfully defended his PhD on nutrition and the skeletal health of dogs and cats in August 2014. He is currently employed as Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Utrecht University.
