Rosamund Oates

I am a Senior Lecturer in Early Modern History, writing and teaching about the Tudors and Stuarts. My areas of expertise are religious and cultural history.

I write about Puritanism, the history of reading, senses and the Reformation, and preaching and sign language. I also have strong links with heritage bodies, and helped prepare 'Reformation', the current exhibition at John Ryland's Library (Manchester) looking at the impact of Martin Luther's 95 Theses.
