Dr Rowan Light is a lecturer in New Zealand history at the University of Auckland / Waipapa Taumata Rau. He is also a project curator for the renewal of the New Zealand Wars gallery at the Auckland War Memorial Museum Tāmaki Paenga Hira. His new book, Why Memory Matters (published by Bridget Williams Books), is now available.
