Dr Roxanne Hawkins is a Lecturer in Psychology within the School of Education and Social Sciences, based at the Paisley campus. She is a multidisciplinary psychologist specialising in human-animal interactions. Her main research interests lie within the benefits and costs for mental health, attachment between humans and pets, understanding and preventing animal cruelty, processing non-human emotions, and impact of animals within adverse settings.
